FYMS * Update & Good Feels Playlist

Timing really is an interesting variable in life. Lately, FYMS has been (sadly) placed on the backburner, as my list of priorities has been a bit chaotic. Without going into too much detail and whining, I've been going through an agonizing search for a new job. And while I love writing and keeping all of you #musicsouls up to date on new artists, it doesn't pay the bills. [If anyone has a suggestion on how to do both of those things, by all means, let me know!] With all of my recent stress, it's been hard to get in the right mood to write - if anyone else works in a more creative capacity (design, music, art, etc.), you probably feel my pain. The inspiration just hasn't been there. And it makes me sad that I haven't been sharing any music or reviews for a long while - really sorry!

February was a busy concert month, and I did see two shows towards the end of the month that were amazing - The Districts and Catfish and The Bottlemen - and I'm kicking myself for not getting out reviews on time. But I still have the memories in my brain, so at some point, you'll see the reviews and pictures/videos come out. Hopefully sooner rather than later! But in the meantime, just know that those two bands are crazy talented and the shows were just as good as I had hoped.

Anywho. Timing. Such an interesting thing, right? Lately, I've been worried about it constantly...not enough time to find a new job, to make money, to find a new apartment, to figure out a relationship, to study, to keep in touch with family...I find myself wishing I could rewind time and re-do all of these choices that I've made in my adult life so far. Which is probably the worst form of self-torture. It's something that I try not to dwell on, but with things being so unstable for me at the moment, I can't help but lie awake at night thinking about how differently I would have made past decisions. Hindsight is 20/20, right?

Hopefully for you, the timing of major events in your life have aligned pretty well. And if you're struggling like me, try and remain forward-facing. It does nothing to dwell on regrets. The only thing that you can control is the present and the future. So while I desperately try to keep my finances and relationships out of the red, I hope you can appreciate the life lesson of making the best of what you've got, and always strive for happiness in the future.

And duh, music can always heal the soul. So keep on keeping on with some of these songs that always bring me out of the darkness >> What are your favorite Feel Good songs? Leave some comments below!
